Moawad says excuses are no longer accepted for not holding parliamentary polls

The head of the Independent Movement Michel Moawad said on Tuesday that excuses are no longer accepted for not holding the parliamentary elections.

Moawad’s comments were made during a press conference whereby he noted that a new electoral law must be drafted as soon as possible.

On another note, he stressed that the conciliation that took place in Zgharta during the municipal polls serves the town’s developmental interests.
