The U.S. Embassy in Beirut announced that U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Richard H. Jones visited Beirut’s Air-base on Tuesday, where the latest American military aid shipment was delivered to the Lebanese army.
The advanced mapping equipment, which is worth at more than 3.6 million dollars is sought to enhance the Lebanese army’s ability to map out the terrain of Lebanon.
“This shipment today, stresses the United States’ commitment to supporting the Lebanese army by having them be the only defenders of the Lebanese ground,” the statement added.
