Kanaan: Sleiman authorized to sign spending law draft
MP Ibrahim Kanaan said Thursday that the President has the constitutional jurisdiction to sign the LL8.9 trillion draft law, assuring that Sleiman is fully aware of his authority and will soon take action at this level.

Talking to the Voice of Lebanon, Voice of Dignity and Freedom radio station, Kanaan estimated that Sleiman would probably sign this draft law as the situation must not remain as is.

"No constitutional references have thus far voiced negative opinions regarding the legality of disbursing the LL8.9 trillion," Kanaan said.
