Head of the Finance and Budget Parliamentary Committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan said Wednesday following his meeting with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, that the matters at hand are directly related to the ability of the Lebanese State to carry out its duties, noting that the discussions focused on the issue of general accountability.
According to Kanaan, the delegation stressed the need to respect the current laws and the infrastructure.
The deputy also called on the Lebanese government to explain its financial policy.
“Is it possible that the invest rate is only 1%?” he asked.
