The STL Appeals Chamber granted the request filed by the Defense Counsel for Mr Mustafa Badreddine for suspensive effect of its Interlocutory Appeal against the Trial Chamber’s interim decision regarding Mr Badreddine’s death.
The Appeals Chamber suspended, by majority, the proceedings before the Trial Chamber, pending its decision on the merits of the Appeal.
The status conference scheduled on Wednesday 22 June 2016 before the Trial Chamber is therefore cancelled.
