Lebanese man caught while crossing Turkish-Greek border in German's luggage

Turkish border police captured a man at the Pazarkule Customs Gate while he was trying to cross from Turkey into Greece while carrying a Lebanese man in his bag, daily Hürriyet reported on Sunday.

Customs officials became suspicious after seeing a German national face difficulties as he was carrying his luggage, Thus, they demanded that the man open his bag. A 20-year-old Lebanese man was discovered lying in the relevant bag.

The Lebanese man was sent to the foreigners' department of the Edirne Security Directorate prior to deportation while the German man was taken into custody on charges of smuggling migrants.
