Striking images of a blue whale gliding through the waters off the coast off Iceland and blowing out spray have been captured in drone footage shot by a photographer.
The giant creature was spotted by the manager of a local whale watching company who allowed freelance photographer and filmmaker Arnaud Muller onto his boat so they could try and see the animal up close. Muller described the sighting, which took place last month, as "an incredible and rare experience".
Blue whales - an endangered species and the largest living animal on earth - grow up to 30 meters (98 ft) in length and weigh close to 200 tons.
