Baalbek governor denies NNA report saying curfew imposed on refugees during festivals

Baalbek-Hermel Governor Bashir Khoder denied a report published by the state-run National News Agency stating that he issued a decision to impose a curfew on the Syrian refugees during the upcoming festivals.

Earlier in the day, the agency said that the governor issued a decision to ban Syrian refugees from leaving their homes between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am for the duration of the upcoming Baalbek International Festival.

Several other towns across Lebanon imposed curfews on Syrian refugees in June after eight suicide bombers attacked the northeastern border village of al-Qaa, killing five people and wounding dozens more.
