On the Army’s 71st Anniversary, LAF Commander Jean Kahwaji said that “what pains them on this day is the canceling of graduates traditional sword celebrations for the third consecutive year, because of the persisting presidential vacuum.”
Kahwaji pledged allegiance to the flag and to protecting Lebanon, its borders and its resources.
LAF Commander stressed that the military forces have courageously fought against the Takfiri terrorist groups on the eastern borders and worked on extracting their networks from inside the state, saving Lebanon a major breakdown.
“The effective confrontation of terrorists requires a comprehensive strategy,” he added.
On the abducted Lebanese soldiers, Kahwaji promised their families to continue working with all efforts and with full determination to reveal their fate and free them, bringing them back to their families and loved ones.
