Ghosn calls for reducing gasoline taxes
GLC head Ghassan Ghosn stressed on Monday the importance of reaching a solution for the issue of gasoline whose price was recently set at 40,000 LBP for 20 liters.   

Ghosn called for reducing the “heavy taxes” imposed on gasoline prices, explaining that “what it requested is the usage of a cheaper gasoline, not subsidizing its costs”.   

Following his meeting with PM Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail, Ghosn stressed the importance of approving the plan related to public transport and “retroactively” paying the sector’s salaries plus the relevant increase.
