Resigned Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi sent a letter to the government whereby he requested to officially expel the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon and to file a complaint before the United Nations against the Syrian regime, after the Syrian intelligence was found to be directly involved in the bombing that targeted al-Taqwa and al-Salam mosques in the northern city of Tripoli in August 2013.
Rifi also sent another letter to Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq calling on him to dissolve the Arab Democratic Party after its founder and members were found to be involved in the said crime by providing refuge and smuggling the criminals.
He also called for taking the same measures against Islamic Unification Movement, Hashem Minqara branch.
