The public transportation unions met early on Wednesday at the General Labor Confederation headquarters, and decided to hold a general strike on September 21st and organize convoys from the regions of Cola and Dora towards Riad al-Solh Square.
The unions called on the GLC leadership to show solidarity in the case of “confronting the deals brokered over the mechanical inspection sector.”
The public drivers have been holding movements for more than a week to protest against corruption in the mechanical inspection centers’ management.
