Families of al-Qaa bombings victims call for referring case to Judicial Council

The families of the victims of al-Qaa suicide bombings denounced “the indifference in handling their case,” calling on the government and all the officials to urge the security and judicial apparatuses to adopt a serious approach in dealing with this horrible crime and pursue investigations in order to reveal its circumstances and perpetrators.”

In a statement, the families slammed the delay in the course of investigations, especially after around three months since the attack took place, as not any information has been issued.

They also urged to refer their case to the Judicial Council since it is considered as a national crime aiming at destabilizing civil peace and ignite strife among the Lebanese factions.

In June, eight suicide bombers shook the northeastern border village of al-Qaa killing five citizens.
