“Any presidential nominee who has a dignity must not accept a prior package deal,” Patriarch Rai said in his sermon during a mass held in Bkerke.
In the same context, Raid considered that the package deal would strip the president of his jurisdiction, pointing out that the parliamentary blocks shall be committed to securing the national interest.
The patriarch also cast doubt on the objectives behind the package deal, saying that “it is a kind of procrastination pending a solution from foreign states.”
