Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil criticized Tuesday the attempts of some Lebanese politicians to involve external powers in the state’s affairs.
Bassil's comments were made after meeting with Lebanese Democratic Party Leader Talal Arslan.
For his part, Arslan stated that he will intensify his consultations with all allies, mainly Speaker Berri, Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nassralah and Al-Marada Party leader Sleiman Frangieh to collaborate in order to save the country.
He concluded by saying that he encourages discussions between Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun and Future Movement leader MP Saad Hariri.
