Lebanese citizen wounded in gunfire while skiing in Jabal el-Sheikh

Lebanese citizen Antoine Maurice al-Hajj was injured on Monday in shooting while he was skiing with his friends in Jabal el-Sheikh.

Security sources confirmed the incident to LBCI, adding that al-Hajj was with a number of friends, including one Swiss man, in a region located at 2400 meters above sea level.

The sources added that the al-Hajj and his friends headed to the aforementioned area without notifying the concerned security authorities.

Security forces interrogated members of the group to determine the circumstances of the incident and identify the sources of gunfire which was reported to have come from the Syrian side.

Al-Hajj was rushed to a hospital in Rashaya for treatment.
