Ghosn to LBCI: Strike mainly seeks gasoline price fixing

GLC head Ghassan Ghosn explained on Wednesday that the main goal of Thursday’s strike lies in fixing the prices of gasoline and taking off the relevant taxes, calling on the people to ensure a massive participation in order to “express their anger”.

“The increase in gasoline prices is an indicator of an increase in the prices of all commodities”, Ghosn told Nharkom Said TV show.

The head of the labor confederation voiced surprise over the private hospitals’ decision to stop admitting National Social Security Fund patients, stressing the importance of securing social justice and people’s dignity.

Ghosn confirmed that the relevant dispute is of financial nature and implies an increase of the subscription fees, confirming the GLC readiness to cooperate in finding a solution in this regard.
