Head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil stressed Sunday that a serious plan is in place to build a strong state, but it cannot be implemented without the support of the people.
He added that a difficult path lies ahead, including the formation of the new cabinet and passing a new electoral law, based on which the parliamentary elections must be held.
“Today is more important that Election Day and this year’s Independence Day will be special,” he stated.
For his part, MP Alain Aoun, MP Alain Aoun said from outside Baabda Palace that President Michel Aoun is a president “from the people to the people,” noted that for the first time since the Taef Accord, an elected president has such a strong popular support, which is considered a new pattern of governance.
