The Progressive Women Union of Ain Dara branch, held a meeting with the head of the Popular Bloc in Zahle, Myriam Skaff, who stressed that the cement plant, which was rejected in Zahle, will not be established anywhere else, especially in residential areas.
The meeting, organized in cooperation with municipalities, women’s committees and civil society groups, came as part of the movements staged in order to prevent Pierre Fattoush from establishing a cement plant in the town of Ain Dara.
