After a long lasting presidential campaign between Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump, around 225 million US voters will choose the Unites States’ next president.
Clinton cast her vote in an elementary school next to her home in the region of Chappaqua in New York.
“It is the most humbling feeling Dan because you know I know how much responsibility goes with this and so many people are counting on the outcome of this election what it means for our country and I'll do the very best I can if I'm fortunate enough to win today.”
Tim Kaine, Clinton's vice-presidential running mate, cast his vote in his hometown in the state of Virginia.
In New York, Trump and Wife Melania cast their votes, but declined to comment on the electoral process.
However, in the town of Dixville Notch in the state of New Hampshire, the number of voters reached seven, the presidential election was only symbolic and the results were in favor of Clinton.
