The family and colleagues of journalist and college student Tarek al-Chamali, staged a sit-in outside Tripoli’s Serail, calling on the concerned parties to release and acquit him from all charges directed against him.
MP Khaled Daher participated in the protest, where he delivered a speech whereby he stressed that “the student is innocent from all the terror and extremist charges he was accused of, noting that he is a student majoring in journalism at the Lebanese University.”
The deputy expressed surprise toward the actions of the security forces by arresting a student for supporting the Syrian revolution in his tweets, Facebook posts and articles.
