Juppe: withdrawal from Afghanistan conditional with approval of NATO

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said on Monday that the withdrawal of French military units from Afghanistan and which Francois Hollande is seeking to complete in 2012 will be conditional with the consent of other member states of the NATO-led international coalition.

“The new president thinks he can work on this withdrawal until the end of 2012, we will see if he gets the approval of our partners in Chicago summit” aid Juppe.
