Rifi condemns arrest of his bodyguard
Former Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi condemned on Sunday police allegations of misbehavior against his bodyguard, saying the detention was based on political pressure.
“The presumed confessions... on behavioral misconduct... are fabricated facts,” Rifi said via his Twitter account, hours after the Internal Security Forces issued a statement in this regard.
Rifi also stressed in a tweet that his bodyguard had never traveled with him.
He also added that his bodyguard had requested to be cleared from military service three months ago, but his request was rejected.
Rifi concluded by stressing that Hezbollah is standing behind the false accusations.
