As-Safir daily reported that Hezbollah started its
preparations on the ground for the Liberation festival that will take place
this year in the Al-Hajj Mussa Abbas complex in Bent Jbeil, at the southern
borders of Ainatha village.
Hezbollah
Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is expected to appear on Friday
evening during a ceremony that will be held in Dahieh on the occasion of the completion
of the region’s reconstruction project. Dahieh was destroyed during the war
between Israel and Lebanon in 2006.
During his
speech, Nasrallah is expected to discuss the Syrian crisis in light of the
Thursday’s explosion.
In addition, the political circles are waiting for Nasrallah's comments
on the governmental crisis, after the cabinet failed to find a solution for the
public overspending issue. Hezbollah and Change and
Reform block played a key role in the obstinacy of March 8 camp concerning the
solutions proposed, leading to the aggravation of the crisis.
Political sources told
Al-Mustaqbal newspaper that the Free
Patriotic Movement started its campaign for the parliamentary elections on
three levels: strengthening its campaign against President Michel Sleiman in
order to disrupt his role and presidential authority, aggravating the sectarian conflict and taking advantage of the ministerial positions in order to appoint
a great number of his cronies and companions in administrative positions.
The same sources said that a FPM senior official reported
some people who sought to remove a photo of General Aoun in Jbeil souks,
claiming that this act is a violation of the municipal council decisions,
saying: “we are the leaders of Jbeil, we are the presidents of Jbeil and
elsewhere.”
Ministerial sources from March 8 camp told
An-Nahar newspaper
that insisting on implementing the proposals of UN Secretary General Ban Ki
Moon which he included in his report about the 1559 resolution will lead to
ignite sedition between the Lebanese people on one hand, and between them and
armed Palestinians on the other hand. In his report, Ban stressed the
importance of removing the arms of Lebanese resistance and of armed
Palestinians in the 12 camps inside and outside the Lebanese territories.
The sources noted that the Secretary General is well aware of
the gravity of the 2 items the Lebanese government is unable to implement,
saying that these items are very difficult and critical.
Member of the “Future Bloc” MP Mouin El-Merhebi told
Al-Liwaa
newspaper that Lebanon is affected by the regional events, especially in Syria
and Iran as well as in Israel where the cabinet faced changes, adding that it
seems as if a “war cabinet” is on the way.
Merhebi pointed that drafting a law under these conditions is
a waste of time and an interpretation of the disastrous failure of March 8 to manage
the country’s affairs.
