Kanaan: Sleiman must go back on decision to deprive people of their rights
Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan called Tuesday for addressing the incidents in Tripoli in a way that maintains the region’s safety and Lebanon’s stability.

Following the bloc’s meeting, Kanaan called on the president to make an initiative in regards to the 8.9 trillion LBP issue and to go back on the decision to deprive people of their rights. “Exceptional situations require exceptional credits”, he said.

On elections, Kanaan wondered “Why is the 1960s law applied by force of arms, and not proportionality?”
