REPORT: Judges suspend work to protest against pay scale

The retreat practiced by the judges and lawyers will continue until Wednesday, after they suspended all sessions and review of cases in protest against the content of the pay scale draft law in their regard.

The judges held a meeting with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Jean Fahed.

Sources told LBCI that a general strike could be staged at all courts, should the Parliament fail to back down on some of the salary scale articles that deprive judges of their rights.
