PM Hariri urges International community to stop crimes in Syria

Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Tuesday that “condemnations are no longer enough in the face of the regime's massacres in Syria, the last being the chemical attack on Khan Sheikhun in Idlib which left dozens dead and hundreds others wounded.”

Hariri’s comments were made via his twitter account whereby he called on the International community to “shoulder its responsibility of putting an end to the crimes against humanity committed in Syria instead of counting the children, elderly and innocent people who are suffocating by the lethal sarin gas”

A suspected Syrian government chemical attack killed scores of people, including children, in the northwestern province of Idlib on Tuesday, a monitoring group, medics and rescue workers in the rebel-held area said. The Syrian military denied responsibility and said it would never use chemical weapons.

The head of the health authority in rebel-held Idlib said more than 50 people had been killed and 300 wounded. The Union of Medical Care Organizations, a coalition of international aid agencies that funds hospitals in Syria, said at least 100 people had died.
