Arabic Economic Forum 2017 tackles Syrian refugee crisis
A meeting for the Arab Economic Forum 2017 was held on Tuesday in Beirut.

MP Bahia Hariri who was representing Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed during her speech on the necessity of all countries to support Lebanon “in addressing the influx of Syrain refugees.”

Hariri also noted that the Syrian refugee crisis has caused the deterioration of Lebanon’s infrastructure as well as a decline in the country’s growth and the increase of unemployment.

Lebanon hosts more than 1.2 million Syrian refugees. That's a major number in a country with a total population of about 5 million people.
The country has been complaining for years that it has been left on its own to shoulder a disproportionate number of refugees.
