Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed that it has become necessary to find some solutions, projects and programs to resolve the problems, and to call on everybody, including civil society, government and private sector, to take part in implementing them, pointing out that Tripoli is a strategic city in terms of location and resources.
During the inauguration of the “Development Conference: From Tripoli to all Lebanon to rise and develop”, organized by Safadi Foundation at the Grand Serail, Hariri said that they work to complete the infrastructure projects in Tripoli, as well as roads and highways,” adding that work will continue in order to launch Rene Mawad’s airport and a railway toward the north.
“Tripoli and all the North will be a lever for the Lebanese economy and to increase growth in Lebanon, especially in North Lebanon and underprivileged regions,” he stated.
In this context, Hariri stressed that the main objective is to create new jobs mainly for the young people, adding that Tripoli is an example for moderation, openness, knowledge and life.”
For his part, MP Mohammad Safadi stressed that their foundation will continue working as much as possible for the sake of Tripoli and its neighboring areas.
