President Aoun urges politicians “to end revenge in politics”
President Michel Aoun urged on Friday for the end of revenge in Lebanese politics, adding that the upcoming elections should give politicians the right to run the country and not deprive the Lebanese people from their rights.
Aoun’s comments were made during a meeting with a visiting delegation from the Metn district.
"We want our people to get used to being free, as the citizen has his rights, whether he voted for us or not," Aoun concluded by saying.
Lebanese leaders are still struggling to agree on a vote law that would govern the next parliamentary elections.
