Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani declared that he signed a regulatory decision concerning the regulation of the surgeries, banning any surgery to be performed in hospitals that do not include an Intensive Care Unit.
He stressed the need to explain to the patient the risks imposed by the surgery, adding that the surgeon must sign a form related to the rights of the patients.
During a press conference, Hasbani said that the law gave the beauty centers 6 months to regulate their situation, a deadline that ends on August 16.
The health minister stated that the death Farah Qassab is a sad incident, explaining that the investigations kicked off by the prosecution and the Order of Physicians.
