REPORT: Health Ministry inspectors arrest two foreign doctors for using expired medication

Health Ministry inspectors, accompanied by security forces arrested on Friday two non-Lebanese doctors who have been practicing medicine in Dohat Aramoun, south of Beirut.

The two doctors, a man and his wife, were practicing medicine in their house in without any legal permit and using expired medication.

The team found medical equipment, large quantities of expired medicines, baby formula and needles.

Investigations revealed that two pharmacies in the same region have been sending the two doctors their expired medication and medical equipment for disposal.

Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani ordered the shutdown of the clinic and the referral of the case to the concerned authorities.
