Aoun points out attempts to correlate events in Lebanon to those of Syria

Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun pointed out on Wednesday attempts to create in Lebanon events similar to those in Syria in order to sow chaos and create a state of surrender.

Aoun added that the essence of the conflict in the region lies in Israel’s ambitions in Lebanon and Syria, adding that Israel enjoys today a state of calm and peace and has hoped for these incidents in order to “extract the last barrel of fuel from oil-producing countries.”

Aoun recalled that Lebanon managed to overcome difficult phases plagued with wars, since 1982 until today, outlining the achievements carried out by the Resistance during these phases.
