REPORT: “You Stink” activists call on authorities to check surveillance cameras again
“You Stink” campaign activists held on Saturday a press conference whereby they condemned  the resort of the security apparatuses to force while they were protesting the extension of the Parliament’s mandate at the Riyad Soleh square.

They called on the authorities to check the surveillance cameras planted across the city in order to see who the attackers were.

The activists reiterated that the extension of the parliament’s mandate is unconstitutional; adding that holding the parliamentary polls does not need a parliament.

Protesters from the civil society groups were beaten by members of the parliament’s guards on Friday, after they threw eggs and tomatoes at convoys leaving the parliament.

In turn, the Parliament’s police command explained that the protesters threw stones, eggs and tomatoes at the vehicles of the deputies and attempting to cross the security checkpoint to attack bodyguards and forcibly take their weapons. Consequently, the parliament’s guards were forced to interfere.
