REPORT: Joseph Absi elected as Patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church

Bishop Joseph Absi was elected on Wednesday as the new Patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church.

The election of Absi comes one month after Pope Francis accepted the resignation of Gregorius III Lahham.
