March 14 urges government to resign, paving the way for a neutral government of rescue
March 14 coalition reiterated its call for Prime Minister Najib Mikati to resign, calling for the formation of a neutral rescue government, as a first step of a dialogue that would be launched through a national conference; “this would spare Lebanon the risk of fragmentation”.

Following the coalition’s exceptional meeting held at the Center House on Thursday, MP Fouad Siniora said that March 14 will soon call on President Michel Suleiman to make an initiative to counter the plot against Lebanon.

The coalition considered that the dangerous incidents that are sweeping through the country show the Syrian regime’s intention to undermine Lebanon’s stability, create chaos and instigate strife.  March 14 called on the Lebanese to be vigilant and to show solidarity, promising them that it will remain on the frontline to defend Lebanon’s security and stability.

March 14 coalition emphasized the role of the LAF as the institution that guarantees unity, pledging to keep the Lebanese away from the regional and international policy of axes.
