BMW appoints Lebanon’s Karim Habib as Head of Design

BMW announced on Friday the appointment of Lebanon born Canadian Karim Habib as head of the design department effective as of first of June. Habib has so far been chief of exterior of BMW’s 7-Series and new 3-Series models not to mention the Concept CS from 2007

Habib 42, has been BMW’s chief of exterior since 2011 but will now be promoted to head of design of German automotive company. Habib will report directly to Adrian van Hooydonk, the head of design for the entire BMW group.

Habib has been a part of BMW since 1998 where he spent 10 years working on prototypes prior to moving to Stuttgart where he worked for Mercedes Benz for 2 years. He later returned to Munich and BMW in 2010.
