Jreissati: Cabinet did not discuss turning Akkar into military zone
Labor minister Salim Jreissati confirmed on Saturday, that the cabinet did not raise the subject of turning Akkar into a military zone, denying definitively that the government approached the situation in Akkar as it did in Kandahar.         

In an interview with Voice of Lebanon, Jreissati welcomed the call for dialogue of President Suleiman, calling all parties to respond.         

Jreissati added that al-Qaeda is present in Lebanon, not as an organization, but as members operating when needed.
