Economy Minister Raed Khoury declared Friday his decision to dismiss the director general of wheat silos and a number of employees for committing violations, noting that more employees at wheat silos will be dismissed for the same reasons.
“Negligence is no longer acceptable in the era of change and reform,” he stated.
In a press conference, the minister said that a company was hired to conduct inspection, upon which it has been revealed that there was no preventive maintenance plan. The report drafted uncovered the administrative violations, including negligence in maintenance, placing the employees’ safety in danger, while the machines were not renewed, the minister explained.
“Some employees do not commit to the work hours, not to mention the reckless recruitments,” he noted.
