Lebanese soldier succumbs to his wounds
The Lebanese army announced on Wednesday the death of 31-year-old First Sergeant Walid Mahmoud Freij after he succumbed at dawn Wednesday to wounds sustained in an landmine explosion that took place on August 19 landmine in Ras Baalbek's outskirts and killed three soldiers.
He hails from the Zahle town of Taalbeya and is married with one child.
