Witness tells LBCI details on Kfarkouk incident

A witness of the Kfarkouk incident has come forth to LBCI Monday, speaking details on the incident that had taken place at the border the night before.

As per his story, he said that 3 men were attempting to smuggle in old shoes and clothes into Syria from Lebanon when they were shot at by the Syrian Army, resulting in one death.

The witness added that the Syrian Army had attacked them from the Lebanese side of the border.

For his part Mayor of Kfarkouk said that negotiations are ongoing between the Lebanese and Syrian army on the subject of delivering one of the men which has been detained and taken into Syria.

It has been confirmed that none of the three men were armed at the time of the incident.
