Global Research Company PSB Research conducted 400 face-to-face interviews with Syrian refugees, whose ages range between 18 and 24 years, focusing on their aspirations and concerns of these refugees residing in refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan.
Half of the interviewees do not expect to return to Syria before the end of the war and the withdrawal of the Islamic State.
71% say that the end of fighting is more important that Assad’s departure, while 27% say that by staying in power, Assad is obstructing efforts to restore peace.
And since they do not expect to return to Syria, they consider immigration. 57% consider Europe, while other preferred destinations are Canada, United States and United Arab Emirates.
