REPORT: Lebanese army continues preparations for last phase of its offensive

The Lebanese army continued on Saturday its preparations to launch the last phase of its offensive against ISIS militants in the border towns of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa.

This as the military is sending additional vehicles the outskirts and bringing security reinforcements.

Meanwhile, sources told LBCI that the last phase of the army’s offensive was delayed due to several factors such as the difficult terrains and the geography of the region, the presence of militants among the civilians and the lack of coordination between the army from one side and Hezbollah and the Syrian army from another side which are all fighting the same enemy.
