The increase of the schools’ tuition fees after passing the pay scale is inevitable, but the rate of the increase has not yet been revealed.
The Secretariat General of Catholic Schools conducted a study concerning the raise but has been lingering about revealing it. The Ministry of Education also conducted a study of its own.
But the clash will occur at the start of the academic year between the patents’ committees and the secretariat general.
The parents’ committees at the Catholic schools have been coordinating and might take to the streets, following in the footsteps of the teachers and public servants when they demanded their rights.
Amid the debate, the patents will not be able to know the increase rate of the tuition before the end of January 2018, when the schools submit their budgets to the Education Ministry. By then the students would have been registered and already paid one third of the fees.
