The Union of Parents’ Committees at Catholic Schools in the regions of Keserwan- Al-Foutouh and Jbeil as well as the parents’ committees of private schools in Al-Maten have announced that they categorically refuse any increase of the school’s tuition fees, stressing that they will not to sign any school budget that includes an increase resulting from the pay scale.
They also called on all parents committees at all schools in Lebanon to not to sign.
During a meeting held in Ghazir, where they looked into the repercussions of the pay scale on the school fees, the participants confirmed that they refuse any suspension of the academic year, and to continue the open meetings with the Minister of Education Marwan Hamadeh.
Moreover, they noted that a general conference will be held combining all the parents committees in order to explain and clarify their part under the law 515 and to urge them to assume their duty.
