Exclusive sources to LBCI: Abductors’ demands varied between detainees’ release and sums of money
Exclusive sources that are well-informed on the issue of Lebanese pilgrims abducted in Syria told LBCI on Tuesday that it is premature to say that the abductees are still in Syria regardless if they were in Aleppo, in its surroundings or near the Turkish-Syrian border.

The sources said that all parties assure that the abductees are safe and sound.

The sources pointed out that Turkey is in charge of negotiations through representatives of the Turkish intelligence services who are negotiating directly with the abductors and with some influential figures in the Syrian opposition.

According to the same sources, the abductors’ demands varied between calling for the release of those detained by the regime, calling for the increase of the sums of money offered by some parties to the negotiations and calling on Hezbollah to take certain political stances on the Syrian authorities.

The latest updates revealed that the Turkish government is working vigorously to guarantee the release of the abductees by conducting precise and calm negotiations with the abductors.
