Minister Sarraf from Akkar: Transparent investigation to be carried out over killed servicemen

Defense Minister Yaacoub Sarraf stressed on Saturday that investigations will be conducted related to the file of the Lebanese troops that were kidnapped and executed by Islamic State militants.

"The blood of Lebanese army’s martyrs will not go in vain, a scientific and transparent investigation will be certainly carried out," he added.

Sarraf’s remarks were made from the Akkar town of Fneideq, where he offered condolences on the martyrdom of army soldiers, Hussein Ammar and Khaled Al Hassan.

Sarraf hailed the “great sacrifices and sense of commitment showed by the men and women of Akkar.”
