REPORT: Bassil from Las Vegas: Who refuses expulsion of refugees attacks Lebanon’s interest

Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil said on Monday that those who refused the expulsion of refugees from Lebanon were only attacking the country's interests.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the "Lebanese Diaspora Energy" conference in Las Vegas, the minister affirmed that he had taken “no action against the interest of Lebanon.”

"Any meeting, be it bilateral or tripartite, should be held in the interest of country," Bassil added.

"This is our duty and the Lebanese must feel that the Foreign Ministry is acting in their favor and is not politicized, regardless of their partisan or confessional affiliations," he stressed.
