Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that they succeeded in reaching solution despite all differences, and the evidence id the pay scale and the electoral law, noting that the state’s affairs cannot be managed with a challenge mentality, but with dialogue and compromise.
During a speech he delivered on the tenth night of Ashoura, Nasrallah called on the cabinet to continue work until its last day according to the constitutional right, stressing that neither Hezbollah, nor any of its allies has the intention of obstructing the cabinet’s work.
He emphasized that there will be no delay in holding the parliamentary elections and there will be no extension to the parliament’s term, rejecting any technical delay.
“The new electoral law was passed based on a national settlement and it must be implemented,” he stated.
Responding to statements issued by foreign embassies, Nasrallah said that “Lebanon is currently the safest country in the world despite regional events.”
Commenting on dragging Lebanon into confrontation, Hezbollah’s chief said that “he does not advise anyone to push Lebanon into internal confrontations, especially the state called Saudi Arabia.”
On another note, Sayyed Nasrallah praised the achievement represented by the complete liberation of the Eastern mountains of Lebanon and the mountainous region, in what was dubbed as the “Second Liberation,” saying that “the logistical base for the terrorist attacks no longer exists making it difficult for terrorist groups to implement attacks.”
Addressing the Syrian refugees, Nasrallah said that their true interest lies in returning to their country and being part of the rebuilding process.
He noted that “what have been revealed from Israel surveillance devices and other is a serious and blatant violation,” stressed that it must be handled in any means possible.
The Shiite leader warned against any attempt to divide the Middle East region, calling for “fighting any scheme aiming at inflicting division in the region that could start in Kurdistan.”
