Humanitarian organizations have opened another aid center in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar to advise Rohingya women on breastfeeding and provide them with a safe place to feed their newborns.
UNICEF and Concern Worldwide opened the Outpatient Therapeutic Program (OTP) Centre seven days ago, which has so far counselled 207 mothers and admitted 42 children under five years of age suffering from severe malnutrition. There are other such centers scattered around the camps.
There are an estimated 809,000 Rohingya sheltering in Bangladesh after fleeing violence and persecution in Myanmar, more than half a million of whom have arrived since August 25 to join 300,000 Rohingya who are already there.
